His menus were sent to me every month and I used to interview him with some frequency. And then I met him at a Taste of Elegance in Des Moines awhile back, just when he was getting ready to open his own restaurant, but I haven't heard much from him since.<BR/>I'm definitely overdue for a visit to Indianapolis. The food...John and Brandon didn't steer you wrong. The food community in Indiana is small, tightly knit, but proud a some excellent chefs doing incredible work here. David Tallent in Bloomington is one of the best in the state right now, and Neal Brown is one of the up-and-comers who'd have much larger recognition if he didn't choose to stay in a Indianapolis.
